Priscilla Kibbee

I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

New Jacket Class at Marcia's Wonderful Studio

Yesterday we began another jacket class at Marcia's wonderful studio. Nancy Hicks began by assembling two focal pieces for the back and some great strips for a textured looking background. Marcia is still working on a red/blue ethnic theme with batiked pieces from the Hmong in Thailand.
Janet Root is working on some stripped pieces.
Pat Berardi has started a vivid seminole strip and is hoping to include some molas in her design.

Beth Brandkamp is using a great hand dyed piece she purchased from Elin Noble at QBL last week for the base for her jacket.
