Priscilla Kibbee

I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

Another Great Day at Marcia's Studio

Beautiful weather, great company and a day spent sewing. What better way to spend the day? I brought my finished quilt to take a photo on Marcia's design wall so that I could put a photo on my web pages. Inspector Suki dropped by to see what was in my boxes.
Some cartons required closer inspection.
Beth worked on a project for an upcoming Ruth McDowell class. The assignment is to make a small piece using her methods and using one of her patterns. Beth chose a water lily pattern.
The piece begins to grow on the design wall.
I began the day by finishing the sleeves of the dessert jacket. I had added velvet ric rac to the bottom of the back and found I also need to add it to the space between the fabrics at the top.
I did a rough cut of the sleeves.
Now I need to finish trimming it, sew it together and add band, shoulder pads and lining fabric.
