Priscilla Kibbee
I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

After a long walk in the cold and rain it was time for a stop in the busy Market for drinks and decadent Chocolate Cheesecake Brownies. Yum.
Then onto a nice warm bus for a ride to the Crane Arts Building. A mural on a building on the route.
There was a wonderful shop there selling indigo fabrics and lots of ethnic things.
An interesting piece in one of the galleries.

Horse and buggies heading home after toting tourists around downtown.

SAQA Conference in Philadelphia, Part 2
This was an intriguing centerpiece at the Wexler Gallery, our first stop.
Hmm...wearable art?
These cute figures were made out of newspaper.
Back out in the cold it was time for a stop to get warm at the Vine and Fig restaurant. The food looked so good we ate brunch and it was delicious!.
I loved this quilt by Michael James at the next gallery.

The opening session began with a "Meet Other Members" Icebreaker.
