Priscilla Kibbee

I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

Trip to India Jan-Feb 2013 Bikaner Fort

The Bikaner Junagarh Fort is unique in that it is on flat land in the middle of the city.
The entrance to one of the inner courtyards
Despite its location, it was never conquered.
Built in the late 1500's it has numerous inner courtyards

This one hosted ceremonial events.  The Hall of the Audience
 Blue tiles imported from Germany
Called Anup Mahal Chowk the windows in this area were for the women to view the proceedings.
 Home from the campaign
 Ceremonial swords
 Ceremonial standards.
A throne room.  Note the mirrored ceiling.
