Priscilla Kibbee

I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

Trip to India & Nepal- Jodhpur Part 3- The Fort Museum

A glass palanquin seized in battle from the Maharaja of Gujarat.

The Fort Museum has a wonderful audio guide included in the admission price of 200 rupees (a little over $5.)

There is a wonderful display of antique swords and daggers.

And other weapons. I can't imagine holding this gun.

Or wearing this helmet.

These daggers spread when thrust in.

Carved ivory objects from the harems.

Antique carpet weights

And beautiful court garments.

The ladies, of course, wore them in private.
