Priscilla Kibbee

I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

Trip to India & Nepal - Agra Part 2

The carving all over the Taj is just exquisite.

All the flowers are inlaid semi-precious stones.

And the floor is marble. Tourists are required to leave their shoes and don plastic booties to protect the floor.

It is amazing that all this carving is in just about pristine condition after so many centuries.

The mosque. The matching building on the opposite side was put there to give the site balance.

Some of the leaves and flowers have as many as sixty stones.

Soldiers cut some of them out during occupations over the years.
