Priscilla Kibbee

I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

Trip to India & Nepal- Boudha Part 2

A local grocery store...a rather well stocked one near the Stupa
There was a demonstration of dancers from Korea while we were there. It attracted a crowd of course.

Standing on the Stupa gave you a good vantage point.

There always seem to be lots of monks in the area.
In the background is the Stupa View Restaurant which used to be (and may still be) the best restaurant in Boudha. There is a nice terrace on the top of the building with great views of the Stupa and their momos are among the best in town. Part of the movie..The Little Buddha...was shot here.

The balcony above the monastary is another good viewing point.

The eyes on the Stupa seem to follow you everywhere.

Because of the influx of tourists during the day there are always a few beggars.

And worshipers making their ritual walk around the Stupa.

A group of Tibetans watching the dancing.
