Priscilla Kibbee

I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

Trip to Thailand, Laos & Vietnam: The Sapa Trek #2

A pig who walked a ways with us.
Ah...a bridge and flat land.

Back to the muddy rutted road.

Another grain grinding implement.

A local school. The towns have a toll gate where tourists pay around $1 each to visit the towns which goes to help fund the schools.

School mural.

Other houses around the school.

There was some sort of presentation going on inside one room which the children were busy watching.

The inside audience.

Another farmhouse.

A field of indigo.
