Priscilla Kibbee

I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

Trip to India March-April 2010 - Pipli

After Konark it was time for lunch in a local restaurant.  The owner prepared a local fish dish for me.  Not all that exciting for sure.

Then it was off to Pipli where I was interested in the appliqued pieces.

These were colorful but not what I was looking for.

View of the street looking out from a shop.  The lanterns and lamp shades were very popular items.  I bought a couple of them.

A view of a typical shop on the main street.  I wasn't very taken with their handbags either.
