I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

Las Vegas Part Two- Quilt Inspiration

I think this is still in the Bellagio Hotel, just below the lanterns. This would be a great beginning for a quilt. There was inspiration everywhere. And great window browsing in the high end shops. (There didn't seem to be any other kind)

I would love to have the silver jaguars...maybe for my new patio.

Waterfall and garden near the new Encore hotel.

Interesting mosaics in one of the cafe's. Again another inspiration for a quilt.

And then there were the rugs and tiles with brilliant butterflies and dragonflies. The rugs were just luminous.

And the tiles were pretty nifty too.
