Then it was off the boat and over to visit the Cham Village on the other side of the river. The Cham used to be a majority in Vietnam and now are a minority. The Cham Museum in Danang is one of my very favorite places.
They do a lot of farming in the fields flooded by the river every year. The houses are in stilts because of the flooding and one of them is marked so you can see the river levels.
No surprise. They were set up to sell to tourists.
After trying to sell us sweets the children went back to their game.
Boat building.
A new house going up.
The Cham are Muslim and our boatman took us on a tour of their new Mosque.
One of the women was busy weaving.
Their was a high planked trail past the houses to the Mosque.
Back in the harbor as we headed back to town.
