Trip to India & Nepal - Kumbalgarh Fort Part 1

Back on the road to Udaipur. Its a wonderful green area full of farms and small tribal villages.
Water wheel on a local farm

Walking between towns.
The extremely impressive Kumbalgarh Fort.

This is supposedly the most formidible of the 32 forts built in the 15th century.
Protected by a series of walls and bastions, it was only successfully besieged once, when a confederacy led by Akbar poisoned the water supply.

The walls seem to go on for miles.
The tomb of Rana Kumbha, the builder, murdered by his eldest son and his grandson, poisoned by his brother-in -aw.

There are lots of temples scattered around the grounds.
One of the tombs.
