Trip to Washington DC

My first day in DC I went to the Indian Museum, my favorite. Teepees in front of the entrance.
There were several gorgeous quilts for sale in the main floor gift shop.

A reed boat made from totora leaves from the Uros Islands on Lake Titicaca in Peru. I have been to these islands a couple of times which house up to ten families. They are very spongy to walk on and only last for a few years when the families must construct a new island. I have also ridden in the boats.

There was also a wonderful display of crafts from Bolivia on the main floor.

And items for sale. Prices were a bit high which was no surprise.
