Then at the end of the last class our wonderful instructor let us pick one of his drawings as a gift. I liked this portait of a ferret. Thankfully I picked an easy one as our class exercise was to take about 20 minutes and begin drawing it. I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

The Last Art Class & a Day at Marcia's Studio
Our third assignment for the last class was a portrait which the instructor thought was "difficult" because of the eyeglasses. I thought they were easy and had loads of trouble with the nose which I never thought I got right.
