We met one of the "teachers" named Rousseau (in red) who explained a bit about his life and the temple. Note the yellow "curtains". The monks were so crowded in this temple that they had cordoned off sections of the main building for sleeping quarters. Rousseau was yet another monk (like my friend Phonsay) who became a monk to gain an education. We were amused to note that the monks all seemed to smoke.

This building had gorgeous murals.
After all our hard touring we deserved an ice cream. Since I knew where to obtain ice cream in Vientiane and Thailand coming up I could lighten up and just get a regular sundae instead of a banana split.
