Back in Kathmandu

At the bottom of Thamel is a tole called Chetrepati with a huge tree in the intersection where a repairman usually sits every day with his hand crank sewing machine doing repairs. In the morning its always a traffic tangle with cars, bicycle rickshaws, pedestrians and private school busses. There are no busses for public schools.
A man gets his children off to school. There are several in the neighborhood.

A local meat market. Its not hard to become a vegetarian here. The vegetables look lovely. Unfortunately some of the vendors wash them off in the polluted local streams.
Janet decided she needed a local broom.

A wonderful old building.

Just another temple.
One of hundreds of small shops. This one is making silver jewelry.
