On some islands molas were hanging everywhere, hopefully waiting for a tourist to come by and buy one.
Many molas are made in pairs for the front and back of blouses. They are the best ones and the ones I look for as they are more carefully made. They are never made exactly alike as that would be bad luck.
This island was occupied by only one Kuna family and was a great place to go scuba diving. We had lunch here the first day...brought on the boat with us as there is no restaurant here ...or much of anywhere else on the islands.
Many people had parrots and parakeets as pets. This pretty bird also hung out in the shoes.
A typical street although this is wider than most.
Waterfront property. A typical dock scene. Many people have small canoes for getting between islands. It is wonderful to watch the scene around 5pm as people are scrambling to get home before it gets dark around 6:30 and they are paddling home in their small boats.
